High School Championship Meet ResultsResults of 2012 H.S. championship meets. 2012 PVS High School Graduates Congratulations PVS 2012 High School Graduates who have made their college choices! As the seniors make their decisions, their coaches will report them to the PVS Administrative Office and the list will be periodically updated. PVS Top Times Lists The first Short Course PVS Top Times Lists for the 2011-2012 season have been posted. Please report any errors to the PVS SWIMS Coordinator. These times will be used to create the USA Swimming Top 10 Lists for the year.

PVS 2012 Eastern Zone SC Team Selection March 29-31, 2012, Fairport, NY Top 20 List and Information USA Swimming Diversity Select Camp May 3-6, 2012, Colorado Springs, CO Any USA Swimming registered athlete member who is eligible to represent the USA in international competition (a U.S. citizen), meets the qualification time standards, has not previously attended a USA Swimming Diversity Select Camp and represents an ethnically underrepresented population that is less than 10% of the current USA Swimming membership is eligible to apply for this camp. These populations include: African American, Hispanic, Asian or Pacific Islander, or Native American. A swimmer cannot attend a Zone Select Camp and the Diversity Select Camp in the same year. Athletes must have achieved at least one Diversity Select Camp time standard as shown here (SCY and/or LCM) to apply for selection. These times are AAAA National Motivational Times for 13-14 year olds. Times must have been achieved in a USA Swimming sanctioned or approved meet (able to be proven in the SWIMS database). The application must be submitted online. Applications must be received on or before February 15, 2012. Visit the USA Swimming website for full details. USA-S Athlete Protection Training Coaches & Officials: You cannot be registered for 2012 until you complete this training. The USA Swimming Athlete Protection Training is now available. The training is free and requires about one hour to complete. The PVS Registrar has put together some Instructions to help coaches, officials and other non-athlete members complete this training. If you are unsure of all the requirements to register for 2012, consult the Membership Requirements Checklist. All non-athlete members of USA-S must complete the check to obtain membership. Please go to the USA Swimming website at usaswimming.org/backgroundcheck for more details and to initiate your check. USA Swimming has provided an Overview of the program and a Frequently Asked Questions. Reimbursement Form for PVS Officials to request
reimbursement for the cost of their background screen. Please read the form carefully before submitting.

Potomac Valley Swimming Mission Statement
Potomac Valley Swimming (PVS) shall promote swimming and foster equal access for competitive opportunities for the benefit of swimmers of all ages and abilities, in accordance with the standards, rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Federation Internationanale de Natation (FINA), USA Swimming (USA-S) and PVS and its Articles of Incorporation. The objectives and primary purpose of PVS shall be the education and assurance of instruction and training of individuals to develop and improve their capabilities in the sport of swimming.
Potomac Valley Swimming Vision Statement
Potomac Valley Swimming (PVS), striving to become the preeminent LSC in the country, actively promotes competitive swimming in the National Capital Area. We enable member clubs to offer high-quality programs to a diverse group of athletes with a wide range of ability levels. We involve parent volunteers in all aspects of PVS operations and provide the support necessary to assure the proper conduct of a variety of competitions.
